The floor trap
Starke’s smart bowls fit HDB and condominium floor trap sizes of 6 to 10 inches. That covers the range you will find in a flat, whether it is a newer block or a resale unit that has been through a renovation already.
A smart toilet goes into an HDB bathroom without rebuilding it. Starke’s freestanding smart bowls fit HDB and condominium floor traps of 6 to 10 inches, and the trap adjusts to where your waste pipe already sits, so you are not hunting for a model that happens to match your block. The two things worth checking first are the floor trap and the power.
HDB blocks were not built to one measurement, and neither were the flats inside them. Three things decide whether a bowl goes in cleanly.

Setout is the distance from the finished wall behind your toilet to the centre of the waste pipe in the floor. Every freestanding Starke bowl carries the patented VersaFit multi-pipe trap, which fits S-trap setouts from 100mm to 350mm. One measurement with a tape measure settles it, and the VersaFit page walks through where to hold the tape.
A smart toilet runs on electricity, so it needs a supply near the bowl. This is the one that catches people out in a flat, and it is worth reading the power point page before you commit to a model.
The bowls measure 680 by 420 by 540mm and the water tank is hidden inside the body rather than sitting behind it as a separate cistern. In a bathroom where every centimetre counts, that hidden tank is doing quiet work: the bowl reads smaller in the room than a two-piece toilet of the same footprint, and there is no gap behind the cistern collecting dust.
If the bathroom is being renovated, decide on the toilet early and tell your contractor the setout and the power at the same time as the tiling. Both are cheap when the walls are open and awkward afterwards.
If you are replacing a bowl in a flat you already live in, nothing has to be hacked apart. Disposal and hacking out of the old toilet bowl is free with every purchase. The measurement is easiest to take with the old bowl removed, when the drainage outlet is exposed.

Eight smart toilet bowls sit across three function levels, and the whole range is on the smart toilet bowls page.

They fit HDB and condominium floor trap sizes of 6 to 10 inches. That is the range you will find in a flat, and it is why the same model goes into blocks of different ages.
Only the measurement. A previous renovation can move where the waste outlet sits, so take the setout from the wall to the centre of the outlet rather than assuming it matches the original block. Anything between 100mm and 350mm is covered by the trap.
Less than a two-piece toilet of the same footprint, because the water tank is hidden inside the body instead of sitting behind the bowl. The bowls measure 680 by 420 by 540mm.
